The works shown here are pen-and-inks and grey-toned watercolors. In the former, I tend toward the symbolic, and/or highly detailed fantasy-scapes involving many elements and a sense of motion or activity, but I am just as happy doing zoological or other technical illustrations. The watercolors, as with black-and-white photography, are not just colorless versions of things, but instead allow me to play with an entirely different realm of shadow and contrast.
